We continued in collaboration with the designer Pavol Sajták (which we started during development of the new full-suspension FSX carbon frames in 2010, frame platforms the A-RAY and ERA 2011) when designing a new second generation carbon frame for cross bicycles - the AVION and SYNERGY 2012 models.

Full suspension bikes in 2012 again with duralumin frame!

For the 2012 model collection, we offer aluminium alternatives of full suspension (FSX) carbon frame platforms A-RAY and ERA 2011. To extend this category with full-suspension bikes in a more affordable version, we have designed new aluminium frames and specified the A-RAY 1.0/ 2.0 and ERA 1.0 models.

Author Carbon Road 2012

Due to the weight reason and higher side stiffness we had been coming out with the 2nd generation of carbon frames and we stay with this one also for a model year 2012 and will be used for models CA55/66/66Di2/77/ and CA88. The reason to stay is that we are absolutely satisfied.

The prime property of carbon is the absorption of roughness, shocks, but naturally, also lower weight and the chance to arbitrarily shape all tube profiles. Another advantage of carbon material is it's high stiffness, strength and lower extent of the fatigue compare to duralumin.

Touring bikes

The new series of duralumin frames for touring bicycles represent another result of collaboration with the industrial designer Pavol Sajták. We have tried to make our own design and philosophy of frames that would be not only fully functional but also interesting for its design and frame tube profiles. Thanks to our own design, we had to get new tube moulds to be opened.

All bikes are made to provide a very attractive quality-to-price ratio, with a strong emphasis on construction design and technical specification for the discerning customer. There are obvious specification differences compared to Author and other conventional brands available on the market (e.g. 20-speed gears, evolutionary planetary gears, our own suspension system, etc….). From the frame geometry and component selection point of view, these bikes are designed as any other make, that is as a tool for leisure time. These bikes should be presented as products intended for the more discerning customer who expects more than mere sporty features, but who also expects safety features, riding comfort and an original style.
